A fresh, hilarious guide to growing up your way from a social media influencer and lifestyle vlogger, perfect for fans of Grace Helbig & Alexa Chung.
Hey there, budding adults, failing adults, and eaters of microwave mug brownies! Welcome to the future, where there are MORE THINGS TO KNOW THAN EVER BEFORE. These things—which you may not know at all—include:
  • Making Internet friends who are cool and not murderers
  • Flirting with someone in a way to make them think you are cool and not a murderer
  • Being in an actual relationship where you talk about your feelings in a healthy manner??? To another person???
  • Eating enough protein
  • Assembling a somewhat acceptable adult sense of style when you have zero dollars
  • Going on adventures without starting to smell
  • How sex is supposed to feel, but, like, actually though

  • By the end of this book, which at least some people may or may not have called "educational," you will have learned not only how to dress yourself, how to travel alone, how to talk to strangers online, and how to date strangers (in PERSON!), but how to pass as a real, functioning, appropriately socialized adult. People are gonna think you know stuff and everything!

What works on YouTube and other social media for the "internet personality" author unfortunately doesn't work as well in print. Aimed at newly independent young adults, Arden's advice, which touches on healthy lifestyles, mature relationships, sexuality, and--largely--living on one's own, will barely be useful to the younger teens at whom the prose, if not the information, seems pitched. Still, Rose's following may appreciate the approachable tone.
