कोरोना के आतंक ने समूचे विश्व को उल्टा - पुल्टा कर दिया। शहरों को स्थानबद्ध कर दिया। पैसा और भौतिक उन्नति के पीछे पागलों की तरह दौडने वाले गतिमान इन्सानों के पैरों में मानो बेडियाँ डाल कर उन्हें अवरुद्ध कर दिया। स्पर्श को इतनी अहमियत देने वाला इन्सान स्पर्श से कतराने लगा। उसका भरोसा उठ गया स्पर्श से! विचार - विमर्श होने लगा। लोग कहने लगे कि मनुष्य को प्रकृति की ओर लौट जाना चाहिए।

'कोरोण्यकांड' की कहानी आपको ऐसे लोगों से मिलाती है, जो प्रकृति का ही एक हिस्सा है सदियों से! वे प्रकृति की गोद में पले - बढे हैं। वृक्ष - लताएँ - पशु - पंछी उनकी संस्कृति का अविभाज्य अंग हैं। इन लोगों को भी लॉकडाऊन के दिन देखने पडे।

मराठी भाषा में लिखा गया शायद यह पहला उपन्यास है जो लॉकडाऊन की स्थिति और परिणामों के वास्तव रूप को उजागर करता है। अब हिन्दी अनुवाद के माध्यम से यह उपन्यासिका अपनी भाषिक सीमाओं से परे पहुँच कर एक नए रूप में आपके सामने प्रस्तुत है।


This is a translated version of the nicely-known original Marathi Novel: 'Coronyakand'. It is a Lockdown Saga! Corona has collapsed human life and forced every human to rethink about Human-Nature relationship. This Story takes you away for a while and introduces you to its amazing tribal characters who are already living in their green dreams. Though they are saving nature and do not deserve a quarantine period of life, will Corona suddenly affect their thinking pattern? Or it will destroy their beliefs? How tribes will go thru this crucial phase of mother earth?

Novelette, an experimental form of storytelling is being used here. Reading this very first Book of Marathi language on a theme Corona is an experience. The structure of this story is unique; the experiment of symbolistic characters and linguistic prose-poetry combination make this Lockdown Saga different in every manner. Hindi Translation has been done by veteran Hindi Prof. Dr Vidya Sahasrabudhe. The book is truly enriched by illustrations, done by talented Rutuja Rajput.
